| Question:
|
What is the best way to watch movies?
|
| Answer:
|
It really depends on your preferences. But, from our vast experience, we will tell you that if movies are not playing
properly, it is NOT the movies and more than likely your system or your media player. We strongly suggest you use Microsoft Internet Explorer v 5.0 and above and Windows Media Player. Internet Explorer v 5.0 and above have a built-in media player that will play all our movies. Windows Media Player is a wonderful and free stand-alone movie player that is compatible with all our movies (please see divx section below for some compatibility issues). You can download either one for free here:

| Question:
|
When
i click a link to watch a movie, my movie
player pops up, but it's blank? What gives?
|
| Answer:
|
Good
question! There's actually a few answers.
First of all, most movies around the internet
are encoded with mpeg.Mpeg
movies will play in the movie player as
it's being downloaded. This why
sometimes you see "buffering",
etc. Now, some of our movies are mepg,
while othes like avi movies are encoded with divx. The
avi divx movies will have to download first,
and then they will play.
This is the reason that some of the movies
are coming up blank. All that's happening
is the movie is downloading. When it's
done downloading, the movie will start
automatically in your chosen video player.

:: DIVX Questions
and Answers
| Question:
|
So
what this 'Divx Codec' thing i have to
install to watch some of the movies?
|
| Answer:
|
All
divx is, is simply an interpreter. For
lack of better example, Imagine two languages,
French and English. Well, in order for
an English person to read French, he needs
someone to interpret for him. So all Mpeg,
Divx, and Avi really is, is just an interpreter.
Your computer comes standard with an Mpeg
interpreter (codec), thus the reason you
can already read and view Mpeg movies.
So to be able to view Divx, you need to
install the interpreter.
|
| Question:
|
So
is Divx better then Mpeg?
|
| Answer:
|
The
reason we like divx is because of the
file size. For instance. Take a movie
thats being encoded with Mpeg. Lets say
that movie is 10 megs. Now take same movie
and encoded it with Divx, and you can
get that same movie down to 7 megs. As
far as quality, I believe they're are
pretty much the same.
